Ranchi, June 22: Chief minister Hemant Soren reiterated his commitment to provide jobs while distributing appointment letters among 93 assistant directors, senior scientific officers and scientific assistants for the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) in a special programme organized at Project Bhawan secretariat in the Jharkhand capital.

“The government has sent a requisition to recruit 12,000 personnel for lower grade service. Very soon the recruitment process will be started on 40,000 posts also. The government is resolving the problems being faced by the shortage of manpower by fast-paced appointments on the vacant posts,” Soren said while distributing the appointment letters.

Earlier Soren underlined the importance of adequate manpower at FSL.

The state will no longer have to send samples to other states for the forensic examination, DNA test, narcotics test and other technical tests, Soren said before asking the newly appointed staff to work in such a way that cases pending in the court due to delay in forensic examination be disposed of soon and those awaiting justice should get justice.

Soren told the newly appointed officials that their appointment letter is not merely a letter of job but a resolution letter to make the state self dependent in the field of forensic examination.

Chief minister Soren on the occasion also talked about the potential of strength saying that despite limited resources youth have brought laurels to the state in many fields.

“This time, 25 of our children have been successful in the UPSC examination by demonstrating their ability together. Netarhat school located in the state has given several hundred IAS, IPS and other senior officers for the country. More than 90 percent of newly appointed officers of the State Forensic Science Laboratory are local children, who showed their talent and got appointment today,” Soren said.
