Ranchi, Aug.7: Chief Minister Hemant Soren today gifted 62 schemes worth Rs 292 crore 54 lakh 23 thousand and distributed assets worth Rs 116 crore 90 lakh 66 thousand among 11186 beneficiaries in an official programme at Taranari in Chandrapura block of Bokaro district.
He also announced the establishment of a medical college after the name of ex-Education Minister Jagarnath Mahto and opening of a school on the line of Netarhat residential school in Dumri assembly constituency.
On the occasion, the CM expressed his commitment to bring Jharkhand in the category of a developed state to make the country strong.
“Jharkhand is changing. This process of change will continue till Jharkhand stands in the category of developed states. The country will become strong only when the state is strong and for the strength of the state, it is very important for the village to be strong. Keeping this in mind, our government is strengthening the rural economy. Many schemes are being run keeping the interest of farmers and labourers at the centre and positive results are also being seen,” he said.
The CM said that Jharkhand is being built according to the dreams of its martyrs and agitators.
“Jharkhand has been the land of heroes and martyrs. Many heroes sacrificed their lives for the freedom of the country, and even in the struggle for a separate Jharkhand state, thousands of people continued to agitate for years. Now, we have to make Jharkhand the dreams of our heroes, martyrs and agitators and in this direction the government is constantly making strides,” he said.
Talking about giving strength to the young generation, he said the coming generation should be educated. “The younger generation should be able to become self-dependent. For this, the government is doing the work of giving them strength through various schemes. Jharkhand is the first state in the country, which is giving 100 percent scholarship to the students for higher education abroad,” he said.
