Ranchi, Oct 25: Jamtara MLA Dr Irfan Ansari accompanied by his two Jharkhand assembly legislators Rajesh Kacchap and Naman Vixel Kongari today participated in an engagement ceremony at Kolkata.

The trio is living in Kolkata for the last three months as the Kolkata High Court has directed them to do so after they landed in controversy on recovery of Rs 50 lakh from their possession and then FIR against them alleging that they conspired to topple the JMM-led UPA government in Jharkhand.

A press release issued by Ansari informed about the participation saying that it was Anam’s engagement which was organized by her father and senior Congress party leader of Jamtara, Irshad Alam. The release suggested that the programme was organized in Kolkata as the senior congress party leader was intentional to ensure the participation of Ansari.
