Jharkhand Congress to hold divisional level meeting from March 5 to March 13

Ranchi, March 1: The Jharkhand Congress has decided to organize the divisional level workers’ conclave across five divisions of Jharkhand covering 24 districts.

The conclave will be held from March 5 to March 13 for which necessary instructions have been given to the district and state units of the party. State in charge of the party Avinash Pande and co in-charge Umang Singhar will remain present throughout the programme.

As per the plan, the divisional level meeting of North Chhotanagpur will be held in Hazaribagh on March 5 where the meeting for Santhal Pargana will be held on March 6 in Dumka. The South Chhotanagpur division meet is scheduled on March 7 in Ranchi. The Palamu division meet is scheduled on March 12 whereas the Kolhan division will be held on March 13 in Chaibasa.

The decision for a divisional level meeting was taken during the three days Chintan Shivir of the party held a few days back at Parasnath in Giridih where the affairs of the party, as well as the government, was thoroughly discussed.

Jharkhand Congress president Rajesh Thakur held a marathon meeting on Tuesday to chalk out the plan. The meeting was attended by all working presidents and zonal coordinators of the party. The meeting was held at the residence of minister Alamgir Alam.

 

Rajesh Thakur said that the divisional level meeting is aimed to boost up the membership drive at the grassroots level and to invite party workers on a platform to seek their suggestions on how to make the party further strong. He said that it would be a kind of awakening exercise for the party.

Addressing the meeting, Alamgir Alam said that Chintan Shivir has opened a new vista for the party on various issues.

For Hazaribagh working president Jaleshwar Mahto along with Shahjada Anwar and Keshav Mahto Kamlesh have been held responsible. Working president Bandhu Tirkey along with Sultan Ahmed will look after the affairs of the programme in Dumka. For Ranchi working president Geeta Koda along with Ashok Choudhary have been made overall in-charge.  Shahjada Anwar along with Bhim Kumar will also make arrangements for programme in Palamu. For Chaibasa Geeta Koda along with former Ranchi mayor Rama Khalkho will supervise preparations.
