Jharkhand DGP instructs SPs to control crime

Hazaribag, Aug 5: A high-level meeting was held under the chairmanship of DGP Ajay Kumar Singh at the Hazaribagh district collectorate on Sunday. Singh took information about crime control, research and the Naxal campaign with Range DIG Narendra Kumar Singh besides SPs of Ramgarh, Chatra, Hazaribag, Giridih and Koderma falling under the Hazaribag range.

Almost all the senior officers of the Jharkhand police headquarters were present in the meeting, including ADGP headquarter Murari Lal Meena, ADG operation Sanjay Anand Latekar, IG headquarters Manoj Kaushik, IG human rights Akhilesh Jha, IG operations Amol Vinukant Homkar and IG special branch Prabhat Kumar.

In the meeting, the Jharkhand Police DGP gave a clear order to all the SPs and police officers to pay special attention to crime control in their respective areas. He asked them to focus on crime taking strict actions against the criminals and various gangs. Sources said with reports coming about increased crime in the Hazaribag range, the DGP passed a clear message to SPs to put a check on increasing crime rates in their district.
