Ranchi, April 6: The members of Durga Soren Sena (DSS), along with Jayshree Soren, daughter of dissident JMM MLA Sita Soren held their first state-level conference on Wednesday where they discussed issues, including the outline of the future activities of the DSS, organisational expansion and agitational work. The names of the central office bearers and district heads of the DSS were also announced during the conference.

The DSS paid emphasis on local policy, employment of youth, farmers and toiling labourers, women’s security and their economic-social development, improving the quality of education, health facilities in rural areas, clean drinking water, better roads and 24 hours electricity.

Jayshree Soren, President of the DSS and daughter of late Durga Soren, said that they will work for the people and the DSS will be the voice of the people. “The DSS will have members in every area and village with central office bearers. Efforts will be made to understand the problems of the general public and it will be discussed with the administration and the government to solve these issues,” she said.

Birsa Hansda, General Secretary of the DSS, said that effective steps need to be taken with regard to the JPSC and other competitive examinations which are conducted by the JSSC. He added that thousands are working on contract in various government offices in the state and they have different demands. Appropriate steps also need to be taken in this direction.
