Ranchi, June 9: The School Education and Literacy department is to soon release around 38000 vacancies for appointments. The appointments will be made on posts including teachers.
This decision has been taken after orders from Chief Minister Hemant Soren to fill up the available vacancies in the education department. The CM has directed to expedite the process of recruitment for all the vacant posts.
The CM has further instructed that the requisition be sent to the Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC) within a month, removing all the obstacles to the appointment rules in the department. He has also assured that the State Government is committed to filling up all the departmental vacancies expeditiously.
Talking about the number of vacancies and the different posts that the vacancies are soon to be declared on, Secretary of Education Rajesh Sharma said, “One of the major vacancies is that of the primary teachers for 26000 seats, however, the total number of posts are yet to be sanctioned, however, the rules for sanctioning and inviting applications have been already approved by the cabinet. We are hoping that the process will be completed within the month.”
Secretary Sharma further said, “Along with this, around 3200 posts are vacant for the post of Post Graduate Teacher (PGT) for which requisition has already been sent to the Personnel department, and hopefully the requisition will be forwarded to JPSC within a couple of days,”
