Ranchi, Feb.27: Mamta Kumari, widow of former Poraiyahat BJP MLA Prashant Mandal, has been appointed as one of three members of the National Commission for Women (NCW). She is from the Bakasara police station in the Godda district of the state. Delina Khongdup from Meghalaya and Khusboo Sundar from Chennai have been appointed along with her. Their term will be three years, beginning on the date of assumption and ending when they attain the age of 65 or until further order, whichever comes first. The ministry of women and child development informed this in a letter.
Notably, Prashant Mandal had died in May last year.
