Ranchi, Feb 25: Farmer William Kujur (40) died after he came in contact with a live electric wire at Bhatkhijri, a village about 60km from Jharkhand’s capital under the Sadar police station area of Lohardaga district.

The incident took place when he had gone to irrigate his crop field. The matter came to the fore after his daughter reached the crop field and noticed him lying unconscious. The girl reached the crop field after the farmer did not return home for a long time.

“The daughter informed the villagers about the condition of her father. The villagers separated William Kujur from the electric wire and took him to his home. The matter was also informed to local police, who reached the spot to complete legal formality,” a local resident said.
