Ranchi, Feb 7: Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) will conduct the Matriculation and Inter examinations in the state in the last week of March. The Education Department has instructed the JAC in this regard. The Education Secretary on Monday said in his order that the examination will be conducted offline in the state.
This time the exam will be in a new format, wherein, the students will be given one day in between the two sessions in the examination. In the new format, the candidates will be given three hours to finish their respective papers.
Now the examination to be held in December and March will be held in two simultaneous terms for which time will be 1 hour 30 minutes. Out of 80 marks, 40 marks will be answered on the OMR sheet corresponding to the first stage exam whereas the second stage exam will be on the regular answer sheets. All questions in Phase I exam will be multiple choice and in Phase II exam, all types of questions including short and long answer questions will be asked.
Due to the Covid-19 infection, it was decided to take the Matriculation and Inter examinations in two phases for the year 2022, but the first phase examination could not be held in December. Now, as there is not enough time to take the exam in two phases, the exam will be conducted in a single phase, where both the two phases will be organised. However, the examinees should not face any kind of problem, because of this as the examination will be taken according to the pattern of the question paper decided on earlier.
