Ranchi, Sept.21: Jharkhand Governor Ramesh Bais on Wednesday encouraged the differently abled cricketers by meeting them at Raj Bhavan. The Governor also inquired about their various problems and listened to them.
The players said that they are not getting the requisite respect even today. There is also a financial problem in organising the competition, the players said.
Notably, the India-Bangladesh T20 Divyang (Physically abled) competition is being organised from September 27 to September 29 at MECON Stadium, Ranchi.
In this event, as many as six players from Jharkhand including Mukesh Kanchan, Vijay Mahto, Nishant Kumar Upadhyay, Vishal Nayak, Vagish Tripathi and. Saukat Ali, has been selected in the Indian Divyang cricket team.
The Governor congratulated all these players for this achievement and wished them all the best for the future.
