Ranchi, Nov.24: Jharkhand’s governor Ramesh Bais took cognizance in the matter of irregularities that allegedly have taken place in the JPSC preliminary test organised for selection of candidates for the main examination for recruitment of officers of state administrative services.
The governor called JPSC chairman Amitabh Chouhdary and senior superintendent of police in Ranchi, S.K.Jha, to know the facts regarding the irregularities and incident of lathicharge on the candidates who were agitating against them on Tuesday in Ranchi.
The meeting lasted for an hour in which Choudhary and Jha are learnt to have assured the governor of taking proper steps in the matter to ensure justice with the agitating candidates.
After Choudhary returned from Raj Bhawan, he talked to a section of media and said that replies to each and every query of the candidate taking irregularities in the test will be uploaded in the JPSC website.
JPSC PT results published on November 1 became controversial after it was observed that several candidates from a particular center of particular districts got qualified for the next stage of the exam. It was also observed that many students did not qualify PT despite scoring more than those who were declared as qualified.
On Tuesday, candidates organised agitation and police resorted to lathi charge in the presence of BJP legislators in order to restrain them from going to the JPSC office.
