Daltonganj, June 7: Governor C P Radhakrishnan is due to arrive at the Lahlahey panchayat secretariat on Thursday, June 8 around 4.30 in the evening in Palamu.

He is travelling by road. He will be entering Palamu from Matnag in the Latehar district on Thursday evening.

At Lahlahey, the governor has a 50-minute programme where he will be disbursing ex -gratia relief to two Palamu labourers who died of electrocution while erecting poles at the Dhanbad railway station.

The governor has his night stay in the circuit house, Daltonganj.

On Friday, he has an interactive session with the particularly vulnerable tribal group of people at Ramgarh in Palamu before embarking for Ramkanda in Garhwa district.

The governor will return to Ranchi by road from Ramkanda in the Garhwa district via Daltonganj on June 9 itself.

Hectic preparations are on for the visit of the governor. Security on roads will be too tight, said sources but with least of the dislocation to traffic on NH 75.

The roads that he and his entourage have to negotiate are now under the scanner of the state police.

Sources said this is for the first time in the annals of any visit of the governor that such a hectic and tiresome road journey in this severe summer is to be seen here by the commoners.
