Ranchi, Jan 29: BJP State President and Rajya Sabha MP Deepak Prakash questioned the state medical system and management by the Hemant Soren government regarding the fraud of 40 thousand corona vaccines by the Health Department in Dhanbad.

Prakash said that this is not the first case of mismanagement of vaccination under the Hemant -led government. Prior to this, Jharkhand’s medical system was also questioned over the wastage of vaccine vials. He further claimed that the national average of vaccines being thrown due to expiration is 6.3 per cent, however, in the state it’s 37.3 per cent. This means, out of every 100 vials of vaccines sent by the centre, 37 are wasted by the state government.

He said that the wastage of corona vaccines is also a crime against society. Prakash questioned the opening of a special centre and claimed that it was used for rigging the numbers. Lists provided by the Dhanbad administration showcase dead people as having been vaccinated. Prakash demanded strict actions against the culprits.

Prakash claimed that the medical system under the present state government has failed the residents. People died longing for oxygens and injection, he added. Due to the black marketing of Remdesivir injection, the lives of several patients were played with. The central government sent ventilators, but the government could not use them. The BJP state president claimed this government spent most of its energy on blaming the central government, instead of taking care of the patients, managing oxygen cylinders, Remdesivir injections, ventilators, medicines and vaccinations.

Prakash urged the government to seriously fulfil their duties towards the residents of the state.

Notably, the vaccination campaign in India completed a year on January 16. So far, the Centre claims to have vaccinated more than 163 crore individuals
