Ranchi, Jan 17: BJP MLA Nilkanth Singh Munda has alleged the Jharkhand government for doing nothing for the development of rural areas of the state for the past 2 years during a press conference held at the BJP state headquarters.
Nilkanth said that people have started believing that this government is not working, all the plans of the government are going at a very slow pace. Raghubar Das’ government used to increase the budget amount by 20% every year, while this government is unable to spend the budget amount.
The MLA said that a target of 4,31,504 houses was given under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana in 2021-22. The financial year is about to end and so far only 3,68,000 houses have been sanctioned. The BJP government had decided that by 2022 all the homeless people would be given houses, but seeing the pace of the housing scheme in this government, it does not seem that even in 10-15 years these people will give houses to the homeless.
Nilkanth Singh Munda said that the Raghubar government had approved 28 projects under the Jal Chhajan Mission, but this government closed all 28 projects. At the same time, this government is also a failure in MGNREGA. The Raghubar government approved 23000 km of roads in 5 years, but in this government, even 5-6 km of road was not approved.
“600 bridges were built during the tenure of the previous government, but in this government, not a single bridge was approved in 2 years. The BJP government had formed 6,67,000 Sakhi Mandals, but in this government, only 3000 Sakhi Mandals were formed in 2 years. The legal system of the state has deteriorated. The stand of the government on Panchayat elections is not clear. The chief minister and other ministers give different statements on Panchayat elections. This government is working to cheat the people,” the MLA said.
