Ranchi, Jan 11: The state government has made preparations to give benefits of group medical and personal accident insurance scheme to the media representatives and journalists serving in the state.
For this, the Jharkhand State Journalist Health Insurance Scheme is being operated. Information and Public Relations Department (IPRD), Jharkhand has issued information in this regard and said that the application process to take advantage of this scheme has started.
Notably, online applications have to be made by January 25. The department will not consider the applications received after the due date.
The Deputy Director of the Information and Public Relations Department, Jharkhand has said that interested journalists can take the help of the departmental website www.prdjharkhand.in.
Along with the application, 20 per cent of the amount (Rs 3,049) will have to be deposited from the annual premium through the QR code available on the departmental website.
The remaining 80 per cent of the annual premium amount will be paid by IPRD. Under no circumstances will the amount of premium be accepted through cash, check and bank draft.
The decision of the Departmental Director on any issue related to this scheme will be final and binding. Detailed information related to insurance can be obtained from the departmental website.
