Ranchi, Nov 16: The Jharkhand High Court directed Deoghar Deputy Commissioner (DC) Manjunath Bhajantri to file a fresh affidavit in the matter involving land left for grazing cattle in the Ramput area of the Deoghar district.

A division bench comprising Chief Justice Dr Ravi Ranjan and Justice SN Prasad gave the direction. DC Bhajantri was present in person in the court when the direction was given.

The development took place after it came to the knowledge of the court that the district administration constructed houses under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana on the land granted for grazing cattle without making any alternative arrangements and the act created resentment among the public.
