Ranchi, July 24: The Jharkhand High Court today directed Netarhat Vidyalaya to take admission of those three students in higher class who were deprived of their admission in the prestigious state- run residential school following dispute over their age.
The three students include Sumit Roy, Ayush Gope and Rohit Tudu. If their admission had been finalized last year they would have been admitted in class VI. Now, following the high court order they will be admitted in class VII.
Advocate of the students, Subhashis Rasik Soren, confirmed the order saying last year as many as 18 students had been deprived of their admission following age confusion and three of them thought it proper to knock the door for justice.
“According to the birth certificate issued by the government, they were 12 -year old while the medical board ascertained their age to be between 13 and 14. Thus confusion over their age arose and they could not take admission,” Soren said.
