Ranchi, Dec.9: The Jharkhand High Court today directed Ranchi senior superintendent of police (SSP) to end the law and order problem in the construction of centrally sponsored Eklavya Vidyalaya in Silagain.
A division bench headed by Chief Justice Dr Ravi Ranjan gave the direction after hearing a PIL filed by Veer Budhu Bhagat Foundation general secretary Gopal Bhagat.
The court while giving a direction for ending the law and order problem also asked the district police chief reasons behind not taking action against those obstructing construction of the school.
The court directed the police officer to ensure that the school be constructed on the same site on which it is proposed to be constructed by the state and central government. Before giving the direction, the court asked about the person who asked to shift the school building construction site.
SSP Kaushal Kishore was present in the court when directions were being given.
