Ranchi, April 27: The Jharkhand High Court today imposed a fine of Rs 5000 on a petitioner Pankaj Yadav for filing a PIL not fit for hearing.
A division bench headed by Chief Justice Sanjaya Kumar Mishra imposed the fine while dismissing the PIL.
Yadav had filed a petition challenging the appointment of Jharkhand State Tourism Development Corporation chairman saying the latter does not fulfil the criteria for being director. He had raised several technical issues required to be fulfilled for appointment which were not fulfilled during the appointment.
Yadav confirmed the development saying that a fine was imposed as he had failed to furnish some of the documents supporting his good credentials despite direction for the same. Asked further he expressed inability saying a detail can be given in the matter only after going through the order copy.
