Jharkhand High Court summons Ramgarh DC,  Patratu CO

Ranchi, June 7: The Jharkhand High Court today directed the chief secretary to ensure that a CO level officer files affidavits in the matter related to land pending before the high court.

Justice K. P. Deo while directing the chief secretary to ensure the physical appearance of the Patratu CO and the Ramgarh deputy commissioner on June 28 to explain the matter related to land. Justice Deo gave the direction while hearing a petition filed by Nandlal Mehta after he realised that the affidavit filed by the CO is not true.

This is the second time within a week that the high court has ordered the personal appearance of DC and CO. Two days ago Justice Rajesh Shanker had directed Mohanpur CO and Deoghar DC to be present on a short notice of six hours.
