Ranchi, May 3: The ICFAI University, Jharkhand has been ranked by the Times Higher Education (THE), the UK in its Impact Ranking 2022, which included a total of 1,406 universities from 106 countries/regions in the overall ranking. The ranking was done on progress made towards the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals in four broad areas of teaching, research, outreach and stewardship.
This is the second year in a row that ICFAI University has been ranked by Times Higher Education, UK in its Impact Ranking, the last time being in 2021. The university was ranked among the three High Impact Sustainable Development Goals – quality education (quality of teaching, first-generation students, life-long learning measures) and decent work and economic development (student placements, employee expenditure) and no poverty (financial Aid) students through scholarships).
Meanwhile, 64 universities from India made it to The Impact Ranking – 2022 and ICFAI University, Jharkhand is the only one from Bihar and Jharkhand to be placed on the list.
Congratulating the faculty members and students on this achievement, Prof. ORS Rao, Vice-Chancellor of the University said, “It is a great achievement on the part of the University to come in the international rankings. The credit for this goes to the committed faculty members and sincere students of our university.”
He further said that many innovative initiatives taken by our university during Covid-19 like the ‘Swaadhyaya Digital Learning Management’ system have helped in improving the quality of education. Similarly, the dedicated efforts made by the university to ensure campus placements by making graduate students industry-ready enabled us to rank in The Impact Ranking 2022.
Elaborating on the efforts made by ICFAI University to help many first-generation students of Jharkhand get quality higher education, University Registrar Professor Arvind Kumar said, “Our University is dedicated to the students living in Jharkhand and especially Special fee waiver. We also provide fee concessions to the children of the Armed Forces. Apart from this merit scholarship is given to the meritorious students.”
