Jharkhand: JAC exams set to begin on March 14

Ranchi, March 12: The Jharkhand Academic Council is set to begin matriculation and inter-examination from March 14. About 8 lakh students are set to appear in the matriculation and intermediate exams this year.

These include 4.5 lakh matriculation and 3.50 lakh intermediate candidates. For this, about 1400 examination centers have been set up across the state. A total of 159 examination centers have been set up in Ranchi. These include 102 examination centers for matriculation and 57 for intermediate. Around 82000 students of Ranchi will appear in the exam.

Notably, this time matriculation and intermediate exam will be taken in both OMR sheets and answer sheets. Both exams will be of 40 marks each, while the rest 20 marks will be practical.

The matriculation exam will be held in the first shift, while the second shift will have intermediate exams. The matriculation examination will be held from March 14 to April 3. Inter exams will start on March 14 and will continue till April 5. The first shift exam will run from 9:45 am to 1:05 pm. The intermediate exam will be held from 2 pm to 5:20 pm. Students will have 3 hours and will get 15 to 20 minutes for reading the questions.
