Jharkhand logs 157 fresh Covid cases, 298 recoveries in last 24 hours

Ranchi, Feb 15: New Covid infections, continued to decrease with 157 new cases being reported during the last 24 hours in the state on Monday taking the total number of active cases to 1,478 with 298 recoveries and one death.

As many as 45,909 samples were tested across the state on Monday of which 157 returned positive, indicating a positivity rate of 0.34%.

While one causality was reported from Koderma taking the total deaths in the district to 139 since the beginning of the pandemic.

The total number of Covid-19 cases in the state since the outbreak of the pandemic has reached 4,33,415 out of which 4,26,622 have recovered and 5,315 have scummed to the virus.

East Singhbhum with 66 new cases remained at the top followed by Ranchi with 30 new cases.

The recovery rate stood at 98.43% and the mortality rate at 1.22%.
