Jamshedpur, Feb 27: Mosabani BDO Seema Kumari along with Premchand Kumar, the BDO of Chouparan in Hazaribag district today attended the PM’s address on Aspirational Blocks Programme (ABP) which has been launched recently.

The address which lasted for 18- minutes this morning was through a webinar.

Talking to Lagatar24.com Seema Kumar said Prime Minister Narendra Modi focussed on the eradication of poverty and rural development in his address.

“The Prime Minister stressed people’s welfare and development of the country,” she said adding that the Prime Minister also emphasized on good governance and that the benefits of all welfare schemes should reach the last person.

Notably, Mosabani is among the 34 blocks in Jharkhand which have been selected under the government’s Aspirational Blocks Programme.

The selection was based on various aspects or indicators in which the block has excelled in various schemes like PM Aawas Yojana, MGNREGA and nutritional programmes.

Aspirational Blocks Programme is a development initiative aimed at improving the performance of areas that are lagging on various development parameters. It was announced in the Union Budget 2022-23.

It will initially cover 500 districts across 31 states and Union Territories, with over half of these blocks located in six states – Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand, Odisha and West Bengal.

The ABP is based on the Aspirational District Programme (ADP).
