Ranchi, July 25: The Jharkhand Police have arrested a teacher following charges of molestation at Pithoria on the outskirts of the state capital. The teacher’s name is Ranthu Mishra alias Jagannath Mishra. He teaches in a private school, Nischay Memorial School located under the Pithoria police station area.
S.P.(rural) Naushad Alam confirmed the action saying it was taken after people laid siege to the police station protesting against the teacher.
“The villagers said the teacher was a habitual molester and three complaints of molestation have come against him on different dates. He touches girls inappropriately,” Alam said.
Probed further, the SP (rural) said: “An FIR has been registered against the teacher under non-bailable sections. He will be produced before the court and the matter will be probed further.”
Notably, on Monday, the police in Dhanbad had arrested a teacher of a private coaching institute Shahrukh Ali (28) and sent him to jail for making and sending obscene videos of a girl student on social media.
