Ranchi, March 11: The Jharkhand Police on Saturday arrested three for pushing an elderly lady to death in Godda. The three accused have been identified as Subhash Mandal, Ranjit Mandal and Pappu Mandal.

The trio had pushed the lady to death on March 7 when she came for the rescue of her son, Murari Singh, under their attack following some dispute in a drunken stage. The incident took place at Neema, a village under the Balbadda police station area of said district.

This comes after the superintendent of police Nathu Singh Meena constituted a team for a proper probe and action when it came to his knowledge that an elderly lady was killed by unruly youths when she asked them to stop drinking.
