Ranchi: Jharkhand Police conducted a statewide Jan Shikayat Samadhan Programme on Tuesday (April 16), where officers across all districts heard public grievances and resolved them on the spot. This marks the fourth edition of the programme, reinforcing the police department’s commitment to enhancing public service and trust.

Previous Editions of the Programme

The grievance redressal initiative was previously held on September 10, 2024, December 18, 2024, and January 22, 2025. The ongoing session saw active participation from citizens across Jharkhand, with district police officials personally addressing their concerns.

Key Objectives of the Jan Shikayat Samadhan Programme

– To receive and register complaints related to policing and law enforcement from citizens.

– To inform complainants about the action taken by the police on their grievances.

– To escalate unresolved complaints to senior officials for timely action.

– To ensure swift and effective redressal of actionable grievances.

– To inform complainants in cases where no action can be taken, citing appropriate reasons.

– To demonstrate best practices being adopted by Jharkhand Police in public-facing services.

– To identify recurring issues and incorporate public feedback for systemic improvement.

The programme is part of Jharkhand Police’s ongoing efforts to build a more accountable, transparent, and responsive policing system.
