Ranchi, May 17: The BJP state unit on Tuesday got back its two leaders including Praveen Singh from Lohardaga and Tala Marandi from Borio.
Earlier, Singh represented Bihar Legislative Council as a BJP leader. Later, he joined JVM, from where he went to JDU where he was given the responsibility of Jharkhand in charge along with the national general secretary. He joined BJP tendering his resignation from his position in JD(U).
Tala Marandi has been an MLA from Borio. He was also the state president of the BJP once. He had to resign over the matter of his son’s marriage to a minor girl. After this, he joined the AJSU party in the 2019 assembly elections, but he lost the election.
The return of two leaders took place in the presence of BJP State President Deepak Prakash and BJP Legislature Party chief Babulal Marandi. A special function was organized to welcome them. Dozens of leaders who resigned from JDU a few days ago along with Praveen Singh in the meeting also joined BJP. At the same time, the supporters of Tala Marandi also came back to the BJP with him.
Deepak Prakash said that their return will help strengthen the party. Babulal Marandi welcomed them saying that the BJP is the only party which cares for the country and society. Marandi said that Singh and Tala Marandi made the right decision at the right time.
On the occasion, Praveen Singh said that he stayed away from the party for a long time, but he remained ideologically associated with the BJP. “Once again joining BJP, it is comforting that you have returned to your home,” he added.
Singh said that he would honestly discharge the responsibility given to him by the party and strengthen the party. He said that the BJP has created Jharkhand, so it is its responsibility to think about the state most.
