Jamshedpur, Feb 23: Brace for rain for the next three days, warned IMD’s Ranchi Met Centre on Wednesday.
Met department officials said an induced cyclonic circulation over western Rajasthan extending up to 1.5 km above mean sea level would impact Jharkhand’s weather condition from Thursday.
The cyclonic circulation was triggered by a western disturbance passing through the mid-troposphere.
A fresh western disturbance is likely to affect the western Himalayan region from February 25, said, weather officials.
A duty officer said light to moderate rain or thundershower was expected at isolated places over north and central Jharkhand on February 24, Thursday while on Friday, February 25 light to moderate rain was expected at many places over Jharkhand.
On February 26, Saturday light rain or thundershower activity is likely at a few places over the south-east, north-east and central Jharkhand.
Heavy moisture incursion was taking place in the atmosphere because of the induced cyclonic circulation.
Several places across Jharkhand including Kolhan witnessed fog after the sun-rise on Wednesday.
No major fluctuations will take place in minimum temperature during the next 24 hours.
According to the forecast, the minimum temperature would continue to rise by two to three degrees celsius after the next 24- hours.
