Ranchi, April 30: The JMM today alleged the BJP of creating confusion by raking up the issue of misusing the official position by the chief minister and held the beginning of a probe into ‘Maha Ghotala’ during the Jharkhand Momentum Scam as a reason behind the same.

JMM general secretary and spokesperson Supriyo Bhattacharya levelled the allegation and explained how the probe into the matter of the said scam has made BJP restless.

“As many as 238 MoUs were signed under Momentum Jharkhand in 2017. Out of the total MoUs signed 13 MoUs were signed with foreign companies while 74 MoUs were signed with Jharkhand-based companies. The remaining MoUs were signed with the companies of different states across the country,” Bhattacharya said.

Bhattacharya explained how the land scam took place under the pretext of MoUs.

“As many as 350 plots were allotted organising four groundbreaking ceremonies held on May 14, 2017, August 19, 2017, December 20, 2017 and April 27, 2018 but none of the plots was allotted to foreign companies. Out of 325 plots, 320 plots were allotted to those who had not signed MoUs under Momentum Jharkhand. Out of total companies which signed as many as 238 MoUs only 22 companies which had signed 25 MoUs got land during the groundbreaking ceremony,” Bhattacharya explained.

The JMM spokesperson further revealed what was the height of corruption in signing the MoUs.

“There were as many as 11 companies which were incorporated a few days before Momentum Jharkhand was held and as many as 4 companies which were incorporated as companies after they signed the MoU,” JMM general secretary Bhattacharya said, sharing a list of companies.

The companies which were incorporated aftering signing MoUs included three Jharkhand-based companies including Asha Gases Private Limited, Hemkunt Aahar Private Limited and Kijalk Agro India Private Limited and one Gujarat-based company Pratiksha Textiles LLP.

The list of 11 companies that had come into existence a few days before Momentum Jharkhand included Active Health Technologies LLP (Chandigarh), NRMC Infratech Pvt Ltd (Jharkhand), Paras Agro Products Pvt Ltd (Delhi), Deride Private Limited (Jharkhans), Nutririce Food Park Pvt Ltd (Jharkhand), Ganpati Milk Products Pvt Ltd (West Bengal),  Contech Nirman Industries Private Limited (Jharkhand) Shuddhitam Nutricare and Resort Private Limited (West Bengal), Saroj Polyos Pvt Ltd (Jharkhand),  Orient Craft (Delhi) and Ranchi Aluminum Extrusion Private Limited ( Jharkhand)

Taking a dig at State BJP chief Deepak Prakash, he said that the latter has written the script of the entire conspiracy against the chief minister Soren while Babulal Marandi acted under the direction of Raghubar Das.

The JMM spokesperson went on to say that Arjun Munda is not a tribal, adding that documents will be produced against him soon. He said the party will explain how after becoming a minister Munda got tribal status.
