This search was carried out in instruction of Superintendent of Police Rakesh Ranjan who got a tip-off about the presence of dreaded and wanted Maoists including Gautam Paswan, Indal Ganjhu, Manohar Ganjhu, Ajay Yadav and others in Lawalong forests.

Ranjan sent the joint team of police and Cobra to search for the area on Friday led by Simaria Subdivisional police officer Ashok Priyadarshi. The team conducted a massive search and soon found a man in the Nawadih area who was carrying Maoist literature, mobile and food for 20 people.

When interrogated, the man introduced himself as Raghu Singh Bhokta of Nawadih Lawalong (22). He admitted working for CPI (Maoists) and said the food he had was for 20 Maoists present in the forest area.

Priyadarshi said Bhokta is a courier boy of Maoists and was caught red-handed with food for extremists which he was supplying to them. He said the police are taking regular action against extremists and no one will be spared.
