JPSC announces 110 vacancies for Assistant Professors in medical colleges

Ranchi, Jan 16: The Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC) has announced 110 vacancies for Assistant Professors for a total of 22 subjects in medical colleges of Jharkhand. A maximum of 10 Assistant Professors will be appointed in the Department of Medicine.

Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC) has made available the detailed information of the recruitment. Although as per the Jharkhand Medical Services (Appointment, Promotion and Service Conditions) Rules 2018, there is no upper age limit for doctors working in Jharkhand State Health Service Cadre, the minimum age for candidates set is 30 as on August 1, 2021. For this, a No Objection Certificate issued by the Controlling Officer has to be compulsorily attached.

Teachers with teaching experience of eight years at any medical college or institute will be recognized as general specialization postgraduate teachers. A total of 110 vacancies including 44 posts for unreserved, 15 posts of SC, 32 posts of ST, 12 posts of BC I, four posts of BC II and three posts of EWS have been decided on.

Candidates can apply online till February 8, 2022. Women will get five percent reservation where two percent is for sports, four percent for disabled and two percent for primitive tribes. Candidates should have three years experience as Junior Resident and one year Senior Resident experience in the relevant subject in a medical college.

Jharkhand Public Service Commission is set to appoint teachers in Anatomy, Physiology, Pathology, Microbiology, FMT, Pharmacology, PSM Medicine, TB Chest, Pediatrics, Surgery, Orthopedics, ENT, Eye, Gynecology and Childbirth, Radiology, Radiotherapy, Dental, Blood Cell, Skin and Sexual Diseases, Psychiatry and Physical Medicine departments.
