Ranchi, Dec.17: The second day of the winter session of assembly remained uproarious as the BJP legislators staged demonstrations inside and outside the house demanding a CBI probe into irregularities in the JPSC preliminary test examination and dismissal of JPSC Chairman Amitabh Chaudhary.
Amid the disturbance by the BJP legislators, the session which started at 11 is could continue till 12.30 pm with an interval of 25 minutes from 11.50 am to 12.15 pm.
During the 50-minute question hours, Poraiyahat MLA Pradeep Yadav raised the issue of power crisis and demanded a reassessment of the MoU done between PTPS and NTPC as NTPC failed to generate 2400 MW power in between 2015 to 2019 contrary to its agreement. Replying to Yadav on the issue, the government assured reassessment.
Barkagaon MLA Amba Prasad raised the issue of non-payment of compensation saying until CBI probes the matter steps should be taken to stop displacement. Sameer Kumar Mohanty raised the issue of non-entry of data at the CO office for the last six months. On which the government replied that a step is being taken with the help of NIC.
Jamshedpur (East) MLA Saryu Roy expressed his concern over the wrong reply from the government on the matter of empanelment of private hospitals for health insurance scheme and demanded the constitution of an assembly committee to probe the matter. On which he got assurance that he will get a proper reply on Tuesday in the current session.
Gomia MLA Lambodar Mahto raised the issue of capturing 4.90 acre land of 20 landowners by the police station in Bokaro and demanded proper action into the matter. On which the government assured proper action with the help of the deputy commissioner of the concerned district. Earlier it was said that villagers had provided the land voluntarily.
Nominated legislator Glen Joseph Galstan raised the issue of delay in finalization of the agency to run Eklavya Vidyalaya in Jamtara. The government said it will be started from April and expressions of interest have been invited to select an NGO to run it.
During the question hour, BJP legislator Jai Prakash Bhai Patel was ousted from the house by the marshal for unruly behaviour on which his party colleague Amar Kumar Bouri raised the objection.
An adjournment motion was brought on the issue of JPSC examination irregularities by a number of BJP legislators which was not allowed saying the legislators will get proper reply in the matter in the current session.
Hazaribagh MLA Manish Jaiswal raised the issue of poor power supply in the DVC command area saying hardly 8-hour power is supplied. On which JMM legislator Sudivya Kumar Sonu expressed his support and expressed his desire to pass a strong resolution from the house and sought support from BJP legislators.
