Ranchi, Feb 2: The Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC) officials have revealed that the Commission received over eight lakh applications and over 11,000 vacancies taken out for several posts last year. This means that over 72 youths applied for one post.
Notably, these 11,000 vacancies were not taken out at once. Instead, these are vacancies taken out over a period of several months throughout the last year. These posts are to be filled through different competitive examinations. For this, 14 competitive examinations will be organised by JPSC, after which the selection process for said posts will begin.
The posts that had such responses include 956 posts under the Jharkhand General Graduate Qualification Combined Competitive Examination, 1,285 posts under the Jharkhand Diploma Level Combined Competitive Examination, 583 posts under the Jharkhand Product Constable Competitive Examination, 914 posts under the Jharkhand Municipal Service Cadre Competitive Examination, 994 posts under the Technical / Special Qualification Graduate Level Combined Competition Exam, 991 posts under the Jharkhand Intermediate Level Combined Competitive Exam, and 452 posts under the Jharkhand Secretariat Stenographer Service Cadre Competitive Exam.
Other posts include 690 posts under Jharkhand Laboratory Assistant Competitive Exam, 3120 posts under Jharkhand Post Graduate Trained Teacher Competitive Exam, 455 posts under the Jharkhand Matric Level Combined Competition Exam, 737 posts under the Jharkhand Industrial Training Officer Competitive Exam, 64 posts under the Examination for appointment to Class III posts in RIMS, 176 posts under the Jharkhand Diploma Level Combined Competitive Examination and 64 posts under the Jharkhand Scientific Assistant Competitive Examination.
