Ramgarh, Nov 14: Children’s day was celebrated with great pomp at the OP Jindal School in Patratu. School teachers and students performed on the occasion.
Various sports competitions along with a marathon were also organised including Run, Shot Throw, Toffee Race, Spoon and Marble Race, and Balloon Race among others.
Principal Guru Dutt Pandey said, “Sports competition organised in the school is important for the all-round development of the students. A playground is a living place of healthy competition, the spirit of success and exemplary discipline.”
On this occasion, JSP Women’s Club members of the company along with children with disabilities celebrated Children’s Day by cutting cakes and distributing chocolates, snacks and gifts among the children at the ‘Asha – The Hop’ centre run by the foundation.
Children’s day was also celebrated by distributing chocolates and cakes at the kindergarten centres being run for the education of the children of the Birhor tribe and also at the places of football coaching for girls.
