Kiriburu, May 7: Former MLA Mangal Singh Bobonga has written a letter to Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren demanding an inquiry into the black marketing of sand done earlier. He said that sand is the backbone of development. For the last five years, sand has been used continuously in the development plans of Jharkhand. Without tender and auction of sand, black marketing of sand has taken place widely in Jharkhand and the government has suffered a loss of billions of rupees. There are 608 Sand Ghats marked in the state. The government wants to auction the sand ghats with JSMDC. On the one hand, the government is not tired of saying that the PESA law will be implemented in Jharkhand, and on the other hand it is conspiring to tender and auction minor minerals through JSMDC.

He said that Jharkhand is a fifth-schedule state. In such cases, the role of TAC is very important. It is clearly visible from this wavering attitude of the government that it wants to loot the small estates of Jharkhand by outside capitalists. He said that who will give an account of the black marketing of sand done for the last several years. While reviewing the development plans of the past several years, the black marketing of sand should be assessed and an impartial inquiry should be conducted into the black marketing of sand done in the past.
