Koderma, Dec 28: District administration is working on a tourism plan to woo tourists to the district. Other than developing a sunset point at the picturesque Tilaiya Dam, there is a proposal to run a tourist bus for various popular sites in the district. An administrative officer said the district gets tourists in large numbers who come here to see the popular Tilaiya dam but fail to see some other spots.
The officer said other than Tilaiya dam, the district is having popular Vrindha fall, Kardam Rishi park, Dhwjadhari Dham and Chanchala Dham. He said the district administration is working on developing a sunset point at Tilaiya dam besides making a watch tower.
“We are also working on a plan to develop the route for the bus service,” the officer said.
According to him, Rs 250 to Rs 300 will be the per person cost to avail of the bus service. Other than taking them to the above-mentioned spots, each passenger will get a breakfast and lunch packet as well as a bottle of drinking water.
Sources said on the Ranchi-Patna highway near Urwan lake resort close to Tilaiya Dam, the district administration is planning to use 6 acres of land lying vacant.
“Work is on to make the shortest route to the dam from here which will be the easiest connectivity to the dam from the highway,” Sources said.
Officials said in the coming time, Tilaiya dam will have many more facilities to woo tourists.
