Man fatally shot inside Union Minister’s home in Lucknow, son’s pistol found at scene

Lucknow, Sep 1: At Union Minister Kaushal Kishore’s home in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, a young man was shot and killed on Friday. On the scene, a licensed pistol registered in the name of the minister’s son was found.

Police stated that Vikas Kishore, the son of Kaushal Kishore, was friends with the victim, Vikas Srivastava.

Minister Kishore said that when the incident occurred, his son was not at home. The police have begun their investigation, and “it will proceed as per the law”, he added.

“Police is conducting a thorough investigation. The culprits will not be spared. Vikas Kishore was not at the residence when the incident took place. Police detained his friends and the people present there when the incident took place. The deceased body has been taken for post-mortem. Vikas was extremely sad when he got to know about this, the deceased Vinay was a very good friend of my son,” the Minister said.

He did, however, confirm that his son is the actual owner of the pistol that the police have found.

The police sent the body for postmortem.

An investigation is ongoing, and three persons have been held for questioning.
