Minor girl abducted in Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur, March 22: A 17-year-old girl was abducted by an unknown miscreant from Mango thana area on Tuesday evening, making the second abduction of any minor to have taken place in the East Singhbhum district within a week.

The girl who was a resident of Gurudwara Road in Mango had gone out of the home last evening for shopping in the Mango market, but did not return.

The anxious family members had searched for the girl every probable place throughout the night. When they could get no trace of her, the victim’s father lodged an FIR with the Mango thana.

Mango OC, Vinay Kumar confirmed about the abduction of the minor girl.

“Neither the victim’s family members nor the police have any clue to the miscreant who has abducted the girl. We are, however, trying to trace the girl and also the accused by scanning CCTV footage in the marketplace, ” said Kumar while talking to lagatar24.com.

Earlier on March 15, a minor girl was abducted from Chakulia, leading the victim’s parents to lodge an FIR with the Chakulia thana on March 16.

Earlier further, a 17-year-old girl was abducted for marriage purpose from Ramjanam Nagar area in Kadma on January 5.
