Lucknow, Jan 20: Pramod Gupta, a former Uttar Pradesh legislator and a relative of Samajwadi Party leader Mulayam Singh Yadav, joined the BJP on Thursday.
Mulayam Singh Yadav’s wife Sadhna Gupta’s brother-in-law is Pramod Gupta.
Recently, Aparna Yadav, Mulayam Singh’s daughter-in-law, has joined the BJP. She stated she has always been “inspired by PM Narendra Modi.
Pramod Yadav accused Akhilesh Yadav of imprisoning Mulayam Singh Yadav and claimed that his current situation within the party was dire.
“Criminals and gamblers have been enrolled into the Samajwadi Party,” he remarked.
Uttar Pradesh’s assembly elections will take place between February 10 and March 7. On March 10, the election results will be announced.
On Saturday, the BJP unveiled its initial list of 107 candidates for the February 10 and 14 elections. There are 44 OBC names on the list, including 16 Jats, followed by 43 upper caste names and 19 Scheduled Castes names.
