Ranchi, April 1: Mumbai Eye Society and Eye Advance Society honoured noted Ophthalmologist Dr. Bharti Kashyap with the Gold Medal for her outstanding work in the field of Ophthalmology at the inaugural function of the annual conference of the Mumbai Eye Society in Mumbai on March 25.
She was given the gold medal by former Rajya Sabha member and Padma Shri Dr. Vikas Mahatme. This gold medal is given every year by the organization to some selected eye doctors of the country who have done excellent work in the field of Cataract and Lasik surgery.
In the year 2019, Dr. Bharti Kashyap was also honoured with the Gold Medal by the Indian Society of Cataract and Effective Surgery.
Kashyap delivered several lectures on Femto Laser Bladeless Cataract Surgery there. It may be noted that Kashyap Memorial Eye Hospital is credited for bringing this method of laser assisted bladeless cataract surgery to Jharkhand.
She said that this bladeless femto laser cataract surgery method had been started in Kashyap Memorial Eye Hospital since in 2014 and patients of Jharkhand are continuously getting benefit from it.
