Ramgarh, April 14: National Fire Service Day was celebrated at JSP (Jindal Steel and Power) Patratu on Friday. Also known as “Martyr’s Day”, the occasion is marked every year in India, to pay tribute to the brave firefighters who sacrificed their lives during the Mumbai Dockyard fire and massive explosion on 14 April 1944.
The program was inaugurated by Plant Head Ramesh Kumar Ajmeria by hoisting the Fire Service flag. He paid tribute to those brave firefighters, observed silence for two minutes and took a fire safety oath.
The theme of Fire Services Day this year was “Awareness in Fire Safety for the Development of National Infrastructure”. The workshop was attended by the factory managers and top officials and employees of all the departments. The program was organized and conducted by the Fire and Safety Department JSPL.
