NBA accredits all four PGDM programmes at XISS

Ranchi, Aug 23: The Xavier Institute of Social Service (XISS), Ranchi has received accreditation from the National Board of Accreditation (NBA) for all its Post Graduate Diploma Management (PGDM) programmes namely Human Resource Management, Rural Management, Marketing Management and Financial Management.

The institute had applied in the month of January 2022 and received the accreditation based upon the physical audit conducted in the month of May 2022.

Speaking of this achievement, XISS Director Dr Joseph Marianus Kujur, thanked the XISS Governing Body members for their constant support throughout in taking the institute forward. He also expressed his gratitude to all the stakeholders of the institute including the Board of Governors (BoG), Faculty, Staff, Alumni, Students, and Parents for believing in the motto of XISS.

“XISS stayed true to our core Jesuit philosophy of ‘MAGIS’ – Pursuit of Excellence in all Endeavors. We have always believed in imparting quality and industry-ready education to the students while making them socially conscious professionals as well. The NBA Accreditation is a proof of our dedication, commitment, and holistic approach and we are committed to achieve more milestones in the days to come,” said Dr Kujur.

Dr Amar E Tigga, Dean Academics, XISS shared, “The institute has truly exhibited excellence in fields of education, social awareness and understanding the corporate and their changing trends which we are known for. The Accreditation now highlights our effective curriculum and pedagogy.”

“The commitments of the Institute and the genuine initiatives undertaken for overall development of faculty, students, and alumni fraternity have been well-recognised by the NBA Audit team. It has now led to an even better display of the effective education and industry exposure ensured in XISS and we will march ahead for more such laurels in days to come,” said Aayurshi Sahay, Accreditation Officer & NBA Coordinator, XISS.

The purpose of the accreditation by NBA is to promote and recognize excellence in education. This encourages quality improvement initiatives and improves student enrollment both in terms of quality and quantity. The Accreditation enhances the employability of graduates, motivates faculty to participate actively in academic activities, and helps create a sound and challenging academic environment in the Institution. XISS is known for its commitment towards the social service cause, working for the poor and marginalized and its contribution to social and economic development of the country by producing high quality technical human power.
