New Delhi: NDA MPs held their weekly Mangal Milan meeting at the GMC Balyogi Auditorium in the Parliament Library Building on Tuesday during the ongoing monsoon session, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju, and JP Nadda among the senior leaders present.
Tricolour, Vande Mataram and Slogans
All MPs including PM Modi waved the tricolour at the meeting, with NDA members singing Vande Mataram and raising slogans of Har Har Mahadev and Jai Shri Ram.
March Against Parliament Deadlock
After the meeting, NDA MPs marched to the Makar Dwar of Parliament in protest against the ongoing deadlock in the monsoon session. The NDA alleged that the opposition is disrupting proceedings by demanding a statement from Home Minister Amit Shah, while the government is ready for discussion on the issue. MPs carried posters stating that Amit Shah is ready to discuss the student protest issue but the opposition is fleeing from debate. BJP MP Kangana Ranaut said Rahul Gandhi refused to hold discussions and was betraying the country, while Sakshi Maharaj alleged the opposition has different standards for different issues.
