Ranchi, July 11: 2011-batch IAS officer Rahul Kumar Sinha took charge as the new deputy commissioner of Jharkhand capital from 2010 batch IAS officer Chhavi Ranjan in his office room located in Collectorate Block A.

After he assumed charge, Sinha counted his priorities to the officials saying there should be no laxity in governance issues. Expressing his commitment for integration of all the elements of the administration and making coordination between all the institutions, he asked them to keep the door of administration always open for the general public.

He said service delivery is the most important part of the administration and the work of the general public should be done on time to ensure that they do to go to the office unnecessarily to get their work done.

The new DC also talked about team spirit. “Establishing coordination between the Government of India and all the institutions of the State Government, efforts would be made to bring all the stakeholders on one platform for service delivery. All the colleagues have an important role. We will work with team spirit and deliver our best,” Sinha said.

Before becoming an IAS officer, Sinha earlier worked as an IPS. In Ranchi, he had earlier worked in the capacity of deputy development commissioner.
