Ranchi, May 2: Central probe agency NIA conducted a raid at the hideouts of central general secretary of Mazdoor Sangathan Samiti, Baccha Singh, in Bokaro, for having connections with Maoists.

The prominent places where the NIA sleuths were noticed since morning included DVC residence in Nisanhat Colony and Bokaro Thermal.

Along with Singh, raids were also conducted at the residence of organisation member Nageshwar Mahto and Sanjay Turi.

Singh is a labour supplier of Bokaro Thermal Plant. In 2008, his organisation was banned after it was taken as a part of the Maoist organisation. In the year 2022, the ban was lifted on the interference of Jharkhand High Court. Now the raid has been conducted again after the NIA got clues of its connection with Maoists.
