Ranchi, Feb.4: The application by the NIA to take Mahesh Aggarwal, an accused of terror funding, on remand has been withdrawn by the agency.
According to the defense counsel, in the special court of Ranchi NIA, NIA had applied to take Mahesh Agarwal on remand for three days, against which Mahesh Agarwal had also filed a petition. Today the NIA withdrew the application.
Agarwal, an accused of providing financial assistance to Naxalites and banned militant organizations, was arrested after the Jharkhand High Court rejected his petition demanding to quash the FIR against him.
