Ramgarh, May 30: There has been a ruckus in a school of Kuju, Ramgarh, over the picture of noble laureate Malala Yousafzai. The picture was removed but till then the controversy gained momentum. First of all, the Mukhiya objected to the picture in the school. This picture was posted in Kuju Public High School located at Datma More, Kuju.
The picture was posted, then there was a ruckus and later the picture was removed.
This school is old and famous. When a controversy arose over this, the picture was removed. When the controversy increased on this matter, the teacher Manisha Dhawan, who put noble laureate Malala’s picture, said, the picture was put up to inspire the children. The picture was put up for four months but there was a ruckus about it.
On January 24, the picture was pasted at the main gate of the school. On May 17, Jai Kumar Ojha, the Mukhiya of the Kuju Western Panchayat, saw the wall and protested against it. The picture has now been removed.
Regarding this picture, Bharatiya Janata Party spokesperson Pratul Shahdeo said, removing the picture is a wrong decision. By removing Malala’s picture, the state government has made it clear how radical her thinking is, any child can take inspiration from Malala. She fought for education.
Mukhiya Jai Kumar Ojha lodged an objection to the picture and said, if you want to put a picture, put an Indian, there are many women in our country like Savitribai Phule, Kiran Bedi, former President Pratibha Devi Patil, Draupadi Murmu, their pictures are an inspiration to the children. It is completely wrong to put a picture of a girl from Pakistan in the school.
On this whole matter, the school principal Ravindra Prasad said, a teacher of the school had put Malala Yousafzai’s picture in the school to inspire the girl students. The teacher had taken permission from him. Malala’s picture was removed from the school premises following protests from the villagers.
