New Delhi: The Government of India has confirmed that over 100 terrorists have been neutralised in Operation Sindoor, a high-precision military offensive launched in response to the Pahalgam terror attack. Officials noted that the operation is still ongoing, and the exact number of casualties is yet to be finalised.
All-Party Briefing Confirms Impact
During the all-party meeting, the Centre informed political leaders that Indian forces had carried out strikes on nine terror camps located across the border, successfully targeting hubs used for training and harbouring militants. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh reportedly stated, “We do not want escalation, but if Pakistan acts provocatively, we will not hesitate.”
No Aggression Unless Provoked
According to sources, the government reiterated its stance that India will not initiate further action unless provoked by Pakistan, but stands prepared for any eventuality. Officials highlighted the accuracy and strategic success of the operation while emphasising India’s commitment to peace through strength.
Operation Ongoing, Numbers Rising
With the operation still in progress, government officials clarified that verifiable body counts are still being compiled. However, the scale and precision of the mission have been described as unprecedented in recent years.
